As more and more attorneys incorporate and utilize complex audio/video systems in their trial presentations, the San Mateo County Superior Court has addressed these needs by providing the following technologies in the following courthouse location. *
Southern Branch, Hall of Justice, Redwood City
NOMAD Presentation System
The NOMAD is mobile evidence presentation system that uses an LCD projector and a screen. It includes a digital document camera (Elmo), DVD/VCR, and computer audio and video input capabilities. The system also includes a screen annotation system and microphone/speakers. A laptop must be provided by the attorney for computer input.
Mobile Display
The mobile display system consists of a 40 inch LCD display with laptop video and sound inputs and DVD/VCR playback. This is mounted on a mobile cart that allows for quick setup in most courtrooms. A laptop must be provided by the attorney for computer input.
Central Branch, San Mateo
High Tech Courtrooms
Courtrooms I and H are setup with an electronic document camera (Elmo), DVD/VCR, laptop video/audio inputs and screen annotation with full color printing. Displays include a large screen projection screen, as well as LCD monitors at the counsel tables, witness stand, court reporter area, and judicial bench. A laptop is required for computer input.
Northern Branch, South San Francisco

* Please note that use of this equipment is on a first come, first serve basis and must be reserved prior to its use. When making the request, please ensure and confirm that you have notified the court judicial department and received approval to use this equipment in your hearing.
