attorney for legal advice, to find out the amount of child support that would
be payable under the California state child support guidelines, to assist you
in completing paternity or child support forms, or to represent you. Attorneys
are listed in the telephone book. For a small fee, you can have also schedule
a short consultation with a private attorney by calling the Lawyer Referral

If you cannot afford an
attorney or want to represent yourself, you can have your papers reviewed by
the Family Law Facilitator (650) 363-4590. If you need assistance completing
paternity or child custody and visitation support forms, you should seek help
from the office of the Family Law Facilitator.
If you and the other parent
have an agreement, or believe that you can reach an agreement on the amount
of child support to be paid, the office of the Family Law Facilitator (650)
363-4590 can help you with an agreement or stipulation form.
