Response from the City of Redwood City

This letter is in response to the findings and recommendations of the 2000-2001 Grand Jury report pertaining to the City of Redwood City. The recommendation for all cities throughout San Mateo County to adopt the Pet Overpopulation Program requires further analysis. The scope of the analysis will include determining the importance and impact of adopting a Pet Overpopulation ordinance.

The City will explore this recommendation. Given the present issues with the Peninsula Human Society and concerns the County now has it is appropriate to let that issue get resolved first.
