As former in-house counsel for a party to insurance litigation, I have taken part in mediation of large-scale coverage disputes between corporate insureds, commercial insureres and insurance brokerages. As volunteer mediator for justice courts in another state (Arizona), I have mediated several smaller matters referred by the courts, chiefly involving landlord-tenant, breaches of contract, owner-contractor disputes, etc. I have also mediated small community-based cases for municipalities, as well as equal educational opportunities cases for the state department of education. I have also taken part in securities arbitration as an arbitrator fo the NASD. |
