After six years as a deputy district attorney, I have spent over thirty-two years as a civil trial lawyer. During that time I tried over 150 jury trials, sat as Judge Pro Tem in San Mateo county and heard numerous mediations and settlement conferences for our court. In the past nine years I have been an arbitrator and mediator in numerous cases. These inclued personal injury, property damage, legal and medical malpractice, real estate and wrongful death cases. I have found first and foremost to allow all parties to argue their positions, read all briefs and engage each lawyer with the strengths and weaknesses of their case. When advice or suggestion are called for - I give them. A successful mediation beats a jury trial every time! Especially for the client. |
