Charles M. Riffle received his B. A. degree from the University of san Francisco in 1969, and his J.D. from the University of San Francisco School of Law in 1972. He has been a partner of the law firm Currie, Lebsack, Hannig & Costello; Ropers, Majeski, Cohn, Bentley & Kane; and Aaron, Riechert, Carpol & Riffle. He is a former chair of the Family Law and Probate Sections of the San Mateo County Bar Association. He also served as President of the San Mateo County Bar Association in 1999. He is the author of the article entitled, \"Representing the Conservatee in a Contested Probate Conservatorship Proceeding\" which appeared in the Estate Planning, Trust and Probate News in the Summer of 1993. He is also a co-author of the earticle entitled, \"When Death & Divorce Collide\" which appeared in the California Trust and Esates Quarterly in the Spring of 2005. More recently, he has given presentations on the Prudent Investor Rule, and its impact on trustee liability. He is a Certified Specialist in Probate, Estate Planning, and Trust Law. |
