Mediation
Approach:

My mediation style is primarily facilitative. It is my intent to help the parties reach an agreement that meets their individual needs.
Arbitration
Approach:

I like to have an agenda of the issues to be arbitrated presented to me to review prior the arbitration. I request each party make a brief opening statement of his or her position. After hearing of testimony and reviewing documents presented, I then ask each party questions which I feel are important to my making a decision of the issue presented. It is my usual practice to take the matter under submission and issue a written statement of Decision in each case.
