As an arbitrator in non-binding arbitration matters, I make certain that all relevant documents and oral testimony has been presented, and that counsel for the parties fully brief and/or argue the critical issues. Although generally non-binding arbitration is designed to be presented in a more summary fashion, I find that all parties are most comfortable in accepting the arbitration award if they feel that they have been fully heard and their matter thoroughly presented. |
